Reatlytrac.com and Yahoo! Real Estate have joined forces to offer the newly redesigned Yahoo! Real Estate Foreclosure Center. This new service provides:

1. online search for foreclosures

2. analysis of trends in the foreclosure market

3. education about buying foreclosure properties

As the current real estate market slows, foreclosures are on the rise and Realtytrac.com claims to publish “the largest and most comprehensive national database of foreclosure and bank-owned properties.” Incorporating it’s services with Yahoo! Real Estate is a step to further Yahoo! Real Estate’s “goal to present consumers with the information they need throughout every stage of the home buying process” - general manager Michael Yang.

  2. Hey Katey,
Have you seen this site yet?: http://iamfacingforeclosure.com

It’s a great site giving foreclosure advice, and gets a ton of traffic. It is currently ranking higher than housingpanic.com as a blog… which has been the undisputed leader for a while now.

Goes to show how a content rich blog with a fun twist can be successful. He is ranking #8 for “foreclosure”… not bad for starting in Sept. ‘06

    yeah… that was random… sorry.

  3. The listings are not up to date on RealtyTrac. I provide listing on my site of local foreclosures which I can search out on local MLS. I also use http://www.discountrealtyonline.com to find foreclosure direct from lender sites for free.

  4. I agree with the Portland real estate dude or dudette. Realty trac and Yahoo seem to be a bit dated, but there is good information on them. Another site I found that had allot of foreclosure information is http://bank-foreclosures.nationalrelocation.com and they also have some pretty other kool features like real estate yahoo, but you can list rentals for free on there site like craiglist….
